DAISO $2 EVERYTHING = LUV. Imo, the best thing Daiso offers is top quality Japanese hair rubbers... Thy're so pretty and it takes alot to make them go out of shape. They also slide off your hair, and don't have that annoying metal sealer that is the ultimate hair trap... My favourite this time ard is the sprkly gradient blu one (tts y I bought 2 hehe). Other than hair stuff I got a new sprkly nail clipper, and some nail confetti. Wh00p ^_^
I had a very awesome day. Not epic, but pretty damn awesome in that life's simple pleasures way. To elabor8,
I brought Euji (Eugene's japanese name) out for lunch to repay him for treating me to dinner last night... and suffice to say Ippudo is our all time favourite relatively affordable restaurant?!@?#!?@#@!#? Muaha. Idk why people think its overrated. We luv it~ Tdy we had sakura tea, renkon chips, shrimp bun, and the usual ramen (Euji had prk belly but none of tt disgusting innards for me kthnx)... MAJOR YUM.
Aft lunch we (okay I) went krz at Daiso, I love tt place and it's $2 goodness...
Thn we mrted dwn to Cityhall to collect our corporate wear from the tailor's... all rdy to start werk, LE SIGH. Euji will be starting werk the same day as me, he's doing the graduate program @ Jones Lang Lasalle.
I left for flbl trng aft that and it was fun v(._.)v Ample game time ftw. Supper/gossip/bitchin sesh with the grlz @ some thai plc afters was pretty fun too.
As I said, awesome much? I think the only negative point (and nt rly negative since its from an opportunity cost perspective) was that I couldn't make time to go to Kino for their last day of 20% strwide. Miau.
Eugene brought me out to dinner tdy after my weekly Floorball match... I thought I'd post piks since
I was wearing slight make up (MAC ppt liner in Prussian, MAC pearlglide in Spare Change, Chanel Glossimer in Bikini Peach, NARS blush in Orgasm),
I was wearing 2 of my favourite things (vintage tie dye semi crop top and cut off denims)
my tattoo had kind of healed up (invert it in your mind, it reads "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves.", sort of like my life philosophy and an attempt at existentialism bolstered by a cosmic reference. For those interested it's actually a quote from Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar) and
the food was relatively good (we ate at this place called Badoque, the seafood aglio olio was certainly yum).
I rarely do my toez, but I was in need of some therapeutik nail painting today (I think the therapy lies smwhr between the dizzying smell of lacquer and the prospect of creating micro art)... so I give you, inverse french sprkl nailz,

Argh, I absolutely H8 not meeting expectations (let's not even broach the topic of surpassing for the moment). And worse still, I absolutely h8 not knowing how to go about meeting them. It's like there's this block (mental or otherwise) that I just can't break down. I blame myself.
I've got to werk on my free hand nail art, the anchor is all sorts of hideous. Anw, tried to capture the sparkly brilliance that is Illusion D'or but there's only so much photobooth can do. In reality it is a micro gold glitter wonder with the occasional blast of iridescence. On other things, it is that time of the year where I feel like burying myself in books. Finished Sputnik Sweetheart, Everything is Illuminated is next on the list~
"In the end, like so many beautiful promises in our lives, (it) never came to be."
It's been a long time since I went shoppin so I killed it a little lot today. Found the elusive Zara paisley pants, which are inherently silky joggers that can pass off as pajamas, got my japanese nail art magazine plus a new book to read (Sputnik Sweetheart; I mean I'm not rly big on sexual writing but I've been hearing too many gd things about this one), tons of corporate wear (3 shirts of blue/pink variety + 2 pants), and some drugstore lashes from Watsons. I am officially beyondbrokegal87.
Caught the A Team tdy w the guyz, it wasn't half bad I kind of liked it actually. Need to go shopping for corporate wear soon, for those who are semi interested I'm starting work at Barclay's Capital in 2 weeks~I'll rly miss summer. Last 2 weeks to party it up :s
Got Nail Venus Summer 2010 fr Kino today, and also put my name down for Chanel's limited edt Gold Lame and Illusion D'or, both were apparently stocked at the Taka counter, OOS when I was there today. Thank god they're bringing in another batch. Anw, included my fav page from Nail Venus, the feathery marble pg. My favourite is the Navajo-ish one on the right. If only I was skilled enough to replic8. Off to youtube some tutorialz nw.
In the midst of applying for jobz, I've really been on a quest to discover new hairstyles. So limited by the big bun/ messy bun/ pony tail choices. Chanced upon the messy fishtail while youtubing hair tutorials. Since my hair is in its natural state of unruliness with tons of layers from hairdressers not listening when I say "I DON'T WANT IT LAYERED" because they are too aghast at the thickness of my hair, the result is not tt accurate. But still, okay. Off to a seafood dinner @ Redhill with Eugene's family... thus simple outfit (acid wash shrts + oversized t, so last yr I know) and make up (blue lined eyes), with my g33k speks. Debra usually takes my picts for this space but since she's consumed by her job @ Gucci, photobooth will have to suffice for now.
